The Coach House

The Coach House at Mains of Soilzarie has everything you could wish for to make your self-catering holiday truly luxurious.

The superbly renovated and equipped self-catering accommodation in our Coach House is self-contained and separate from the main Farmhouse. The breathtaking interior makes amazing use of space and light, with comfort of paramount importance.  

Downstairs, the beautiful, well-equipped open-plan kitchen – with Fired Earth tiles, natural wood and slate worktops, and 5-burner range cooker – is open to the dining area, and its solid oak extending dining table, which seats up to 8 comfortably.  

This leads to the stunning double-height lounge area, with raftered roof-space, feature stone fireplace and wood-burning stove. The flagstone floor not only looks great, it is also surprisingly cosy thanks to the under floor heating system !  

Three large coach-style windows (one of which has french doors) allow the light to stream inside from the stone terrace, where you can enjoy a lazy summer breakfast or al-fresco dinner from the barbeque. In the evenings, a sophisticated digital lighting system enables you to create an atmosphere to suit every mood.  

Our Dolby surround-sound home cinema system – with 44” wall-mounted plasma screen, DVD player/recorder and i-Pod plug – and a well-stocked games table containing everyone’s family favourites, guarantee entertainment for all, whatever the weather!  

Upstairs, the galleried Mezzanine is the ideal spot to curl up on one of the sofas with a book, or just enjoy the views across the glen. Alternatively, why not banish the kids up here? They can plug the Playstation in to the second TV, while the adults put their feet up in front of the fire and enjoy a dram…  

There are two bright, beautiful and spacious bedrooms up here – one twin and one double, accommodating 4 people – two stylish shower rooms, and an additional WC.  

A sofa-bed on the Mezzanine is ideal for two extra guests. Children are most welcome in the Coach House, but parents should be aware that the staircase is open-tread, and very small children may require supervision.
